Safe and effective lifting operations rely heavily on the continued safety and reliability of lifting equipment and its accessories. Equipment failure can lead to serious injuries, which is why health and safety legislation places clear legal responsibilities on anyone who owns, controls, or operates lifting equipment to manage these risks correctly.

LOLER Testing

LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations) inspections have been a legal requirement since 1998 and are designed to reduce risk and prevent injury in the workplace. These regulations apply to lifting equipment and accessories such as telehandlers and forklifts.
Inspection intervals depend on the type of equipment and usage but are typically required every 6 or 12 months.

PUWER Testing

PUWER (Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations) also became law in 1998 and apply to employers and self-employed individuals who provide or control work equipment. The regulations ensure that equipment used at work is safe, suitable, and properly maintained.

Arwel’s Agri Services has fully qualified, approved engineers available to carry out both LOLER and PUWER testing, giving you confidence that your equipment meets all legal and safety requirements.
